Adidas appointed TAIXING K.K. PLASTIC CO., LTD., a personal care plastic bottle supply company, to be their roll-on deodorant supplier

TAIXING K.K. PLASTIC CO., LTD. (TAIXING K.K. PLASTIC) is Taiwanese-owned, China-based, plastic bottle supplier for body and hair care product companies. Adidas is one of their clients. After years of cooperation with a European plastic bottle packaging manufacturer, Adidas changed and selected TAIXING K.K. PLASTIC to supply roll-on deodorant plastic bottles. It was the cost-saving design (less components) and high quality of plastic bottle that change their decision and it has been five years since the cooperation started.

"In Spain, Adidas' Anti-Perspirant Deodorant was a roll-on form plastic bottle made of four components – cap, ball, bottle and the base. Our team re-designed and made it a three components roll on plastic bottle. Adidas was pleased with our work and the orders continued.", said Aileen Chou, deputy general manager of sales department.

The shape of Adidas' roll on Anti-Perspirant Deodorant is uneven and curvy, and the new textured grip for more comfort design made the whole bottle a lot harder to make. "If you look closely, you can see the dots on the bottle are precisely aligned.", says Franklin Ding. When manufacturing a plastic bottle with dots aligned, it requires skillful mold design and blow injection techniques. For a high standard roll-on bottle, a roll on ball plays an important role. Every roll-on ball's roughness, density, roundness, the welding element, how it turns and its weight, there are many factors that would determine ball's quality. In addition, it is crucial to make sure that the 1st and the last roll-on ball have the same quality on the same production line.

"You don’t want a ball that leaks or gets too difficult to roll. There’s no roll-on ball machine or special welding machine to make them, there’s only a series of processing procedures and it took us 3 years to get it right." Says Franklin Ding.

TAIXING K.K. PLASTIC's roll-on packaging solution is applied depending on the size of roll-on balls between 0.4 inch (10mm) to 1.4 (35.56mm). Roll on packaging is suitable for perfume, glitter, eye shadow and eye gel, lip oil, gloss and external medicine.
