No change on shape, more efficient on water shield function

In 1997, Johnson & Johnson proposed a design notion to their world suppliers - a water resistant plastic shampoo dispenser pump. It was a shampoo product that Johnson & Johnson had been selling for 24 years, and to avoid consumers' confusion, they asked to maintain the dispenser pump's original shape. Suppliers from the U.S., Japan and China all contributed their hair care plastic dispenser pump solutions. As a result, TAIXING K.K. PLASTIC came out with a simple but clever design, beating out the other suppliers.

Normally, a plastic dispenser pump contains a spiral cap which allows it to balance the pressure inside. However, every time when a user presses the cap on the dispenser pump, water can also get in during a shower. With water in the pump, the ingredient is likely to get rancid, lose scent and alter the quality.

To solve the dilemma, TAIXING K.K. PLASTIC added a water shield ring between the spiral and the pump, which successfully reduced the amount of water in the pump. For the 1st generation's plastic dispenser pump for hair care design, there was 9 ml water left in the pump. Later, Johnson & Johnson requested for perfect plastic dispenser pump solutions, thus 2nd generation was designed and tested for less than 0.833 ml water. The 0.833 is a lot less than most dispenser pump’s performance in the market, which is 35.37 ml.
